WDP – Barry Callebaut

The project totals 60,000 sqm and consists of a classic 50,000 sqm warehouse lined with a fully automated 10,000 sqm high-bay store and offices.
The access organization provides separate entrances for the flow of trucks and passenger cars. This approach optimizes logistics flows and ensures the safety of other users, light vehicles, staff and visitors to offices without multiplying the road surfaces.
As chocolate remains a very delicate product to keep, this building proves to be a real challenge in the development of heating and refrigeration techniques. Knowing that the storage temperature differences cannot exceed 4oC and that the owner’s will is to obtain a zero-energy building, the energy solutions chosen come from both solar panels and geothermal energy.
